Accessibility Statement

Riverbank Acoustical Laboratories wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people with disabilities and people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control or a keyboard instead of a mouse.

Our goal

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content easier to use for people with a wide range of disabilities.

What we do

  • Every page has a clear heading structure, a “Skip to main content” link and a visible keyboard focus.
  • Images have text alternatives, and embedded videos have descriptive titles.
  • Text and buttons have enough color contrast, and pages can be zoomed to 400% or read on a phone without losing content.
  • Forms have labels, and the menus, sliders and the cookie banner work with a keyboard.
  • We review the site regularly, with automated tools and by hand, and fix what we find.

Known limitations

  • Some PDF documents, such as older test reports, certificates and the chapters of The Sabines at Riverbank, are not yet fully accessible. If you need one of them in another format, contact us and we will provide it.
  • Some content comes from other companies, such as our contact and email sign-up forms (HubSpot) and embedded YouTube videos. We choose these services with accessibility in mind, but we cannot fully control them.

Feedback and help

If you have trouble using any part of this website, or need information in a different format, please let us know. Tell us the page address and the problem you ran into, and we will do our best to help.

Novelty Test Report IX - Steel

We tested a 4' x 8' sheet of 1/4-inch steel to measure its sound transmission loss and single-number sound insulation ratings (STC/OITC) using ASTM E90 and E413 procedures. It turns out the vault-door silence from the movies takes more than a sheet of steel. Check out our latest novelty test report to see the full results.
